I think this is why you always hike with someone you can out run. I don’t know about you, but I probably would have picked up a few more rocks than this guy.

Seems like something wrong with that cat. Is it a young one? Very first part of video there are two cubs on the road. Just being a good momma cats aren't nearly as scared of humans as we are made to believe. We just aren't worth the effort

Those are just false charges by a protective momma meant to scare the guy out of her immediate territory. If she'd wanted to make a meal out of him he wouldn't have heard a thing until she had a death grip on his throat or the base of his skull.

Yea don't put a p320 in AGC bino chest pouch, it's not real accessible in hind sight. Either real chest holster like a Kenai or similar another option. I switched to a belly strap, when running or biking, a lot more comfortable and secure

I used to drive from Nacogdoches to Longview after dark one night every other week. When we got near the lignite mine reclamation site on highway 322 on the west side of Martin Creek Lake we saw one cross the road or be standing on the side of the road 2 times in a 3 year span. I talked to a rancher that lives in that area and he confirmed that he had seen one there and in his hay meadow. That was probably 8 years ago.
