Depends on the bow, what bow and poundage are you shooting?
Rage 125gr hypodermic in the crossbow and keep one with 125gr G5 Montec in quiver for hogs, one of those has killed one deer,4 hogs and a rattle snake.
Compound G5 125gr and 125gr Rage hypodermic
Recurve 150gr Magnus Stinger

Bear G2 Cruzer. 70# draw but is dialed back some. Depends on the bow, what bow and poundage are you shooting?

I've been using rocket sidewinders and Wasp Jackhammers.
This year gonna try the Rage Trypan and 3 Blade Chisel tip. I still like the Wasp Jackhammers though.

How are the blood trails with that head? 7/8th’s cutting diameter is pretty small

This will be my first year bow hunting. I'm going the heavy arrow route and will be shooting 200gr Grizzly Stick Maasai single bevel broadheads, total arrow weight at 571 grains. We'll see how things go

60 lbs at 28"
I'm new to archery, so as I was doing my best to educate myself online I came across a guy on YouTube called the Ranch Fairy. He has some pretty compelling videos about arrow weight and FOC as they pertain to passthrough. He provided enough data to make me want to take this route and give it a try. I chose Grizzly Stick because they also subscribe to Dr. Ashby's research that the Ranch Fairy covers. They built my arrow set up based on my draw weight and length.
While practicing in my garage (from 20 yards out) I was a little high and hit the shallow end of my wedge bag target. The arrow went through the bag and buried 2" deep into a 4x4 leg on my workbench.

I’m getting really good groups at 10, 20, & 30 yards. I don’t plan to shoot beyond that until I’m get some more practice under my belt.

I’m getting really good groups at 10, 20, & 30 yards. I don’t plan to shoot beyond that until I’m get some more practice under my belt. Best advice even if you arent going to shoot at longer ranges. Make it a habit to practice at longer ranges. I typically shoot my bow starting at 70 yards and work my way in. This will help train your muscles to hold that pin steady. As you move in you will find the 30 and 40 yard shots to be easy. Thats assuming you are shooting a multi pin or adjustable pin sight. I shoot a single pin trophy ridge. Once i started shooting longer distances in practice my confidence has increased dramatically. Also i really like watching John Dudley on youtube. Nock on Archery is the channel. He also likes the heavy arrow setup. I have found more success with a lighter arrow. I shoot Gold Tip Kinetic Pierce Platinum 340 spine and a 100gr broadhead. No penetration problems. 70lb draw 30"
