Really bad motorcycle vs. mini van

mini van won

Cyclist dead

Didn't have my phone to take pictures but the crotch rocket is still laying in the intersection, police are surveying it like all fatality accidents

RIP angel

I wanted one for a long while, but I happened onto a pretty bad rear-ended motorcycle. Two bodies on the ground, I went to the first one and no sign of life, I went to the second one. He had just started moving, when I got to him he asked how his wife was doing........ I turned back to look before I told him she wasn't doing well, and she came to...... tough spot to be in. She started complaining about her back and neck hurting i tried to keep her head and neck in a fixed position, and when I put my hands on her helmet there was all kinds of road rash on it. Luckily they both were wearing helmets, but they didn't escape unharmed.

They did nothing wrong on their ride. It was just some young girl not paying attention and rear-ended them so hard their bike was still upright. The impact was so hard that the bumper folded around the rear tire and held it like a vice. That was all I needed to see to change my mind about wanting a bike.

RIP to the rider.

I know quite a few people that have been involved in motorcycle wrecks. Several didn’t make it, and others have lifelong disabilities as a result. I rode a motorcycle a bit when I was young, but have no desire for it these days. Too many folks driving distracted, and steel and pavement are unforgiving on the human body.

As an aside, it seems many more idiot drivers are on motorcycles these days. Rarely a day passes that one doesn’t fly by me on the highway while weaving in and out of traffic.

I sold mine before moving to an area with a lot of retirees. Seems like every week there was a auto/mc accident where an 80 year old driver turned left in front of a motorcycle. Never heard of any charges being filed either.

That will mess your day up. Wife saw a guy on a crotch rocket fly past her doing about 80 on McDermont a few months back. He crashed about 1/4 mile ahead into a car and died and it shook her up quite a bit. RIP

Motorcycle vs anything tends to be bad for the motorcycle.
I'll never forget one that I worked where the motorcycle rider got transported with relatively minor injuries. His helmet had BAD road rash all over it but he wasn't injured too badly. This was back when the state would issue stickers for your LP if you provided the required proof of insurance so you wouldn't have to wear a helmet. The guy told me his sticker should be delivered any day and he wouldn't have to wear a helmet anymore. I asked him if he had seen his helmet and he said he did and that he was probably stupid. I told him it would be a violation of my department policy to call him stupid so I would just keep my mouth shut.

My son and another boy were killed when a guy made left turn in front of them, The boy had just got the motorcycle the day before. April 6,86. Only child and my wife and I will never get over it. He would be 50 years old but to us he has never aged.
The insurance money we did not want. We gave away in scholarships so maybe it would help other kids in their lives.

I like motorcycle's, not crotch rockets. Most crotch rocket riders drive like azzholes.

One of my friends in high school laid his bike down in front of an 18 wheeler. Took an hour to pull him out.

Motorcycle never wins.

Been to 3 funerals for people in motorcycle wrecks. All sad, sad stories with families left behind. I love and appreciate motorcycles but I’m out on them.

GCWBERETTA, sorry for your loss.

Friend of mine hit the car right behind the engine at a rural RR crossing, only had the black and white crossing signs. Wasn’t wearing a helmet. He lived, but was never mentally the same.

Sounds as if he never was mentally anything.

Going a little rough there without knowing the guy? Don't know about you, but I've sure made some mistakes.
