Really hard to tell, but I think i see some mallards. What area did you see them in? Seems early for big birds unless they're locals

No other pics? Hard to tell with that pic, did they make a whistle sound? I don't think mallards the way they are floating about, I would guess black belly whistling duck, or wigeon.....

Was there a dead cow or deer on the ground ??? Kind of looks like buzzards circling.

What Aggieduck said...Wood ducks...big group...but they do congregate like that occasionally...I count 23....but on the right wide flat spot along a big creek, or "woodsy" end of a big tank or lake....it happens.

Definitely wood ducks. I hunt them on my lease south of Olney every season. Present in large numbers most of the year.
