Anyone ever get what I call drive by pms? Someone randomly messages asking if your item is still available. When you reply yes, you never hear back... Guess they were just curious... Happens all the time.

I put something open for trade recently. Someone posted “tag”. I assumed because they were interested and wanted to find it later. My trade is long gone, but I’ve since noticed that person tags at least 10% Of the post on there. I have no idea what kind of boredom that is.

Our little slice of Craigslist. Sellers that post something and never return. My favorite are the guys that post something they want to sell, then state what they won't do, "Don't bother me," etc. etc. They gotta be a badazz, even when they're trying to get someone to give them money.
I've sold two vehicles, a gun cabinet, and given away some stuff through here. All good people. One guy wanted to dicker on the price after we had a deal, but that's minor and he did buy it at the agreed price.

Or worse, people that want way too much for their item and keep bumping it after weeks or months of ZERO interest. Pushes al the new items down. Go look now and you will see what I’m talking about. Wasn’t that way years ago.

By far the cheapest folks on the internet. Yes, I’ve gotten the “You still have it” and nothing ever said again. Weird but what is more maddening is the low balling and pennies on the dollar offers.

That is pretty frustrating. But that is also why many of the items are marked up so much. You have to have more negotiating room for anything to sell these days. People wont buy unless they think they are getting a steal of a deal.

People wont buy unless they think they are getting a steal of a deal. There are those people in everything; 'won't buy unless they're certain you're hurting. 'Makes 'em feel they're winning in life. You'll seem 'em at charity banquets, shaking their heads when something goes above a "bargain". It's for charity you idiots.

Remember the old drives through the country, almost every one had something posted for sale on the fence... For Sale-great roping horse For Sale-good running tractor For Sale-Bull,Trailer,Boat, Coon Dog The signs were old and faded, and most likely if you stopped to inquire then you found out the horse died 3 years back, the tractor had not been started in 7 yrs, and they did not know where the bull, boat, or dog were.
Point being it did not cost anything for them to hang the sign on the fence and it didn't matter what price. If you bought the tractor for $8000 they would sell you a trailer to haul it home for a swell price. Many items on this forum are the same as those hanging on the old fence,

Not so much the classifieds even though it's been the case a few times. Someone sends me a PM asking about a knife build. They go into very specific details about sizes and materials. I spend the time looking up material prices when it's something that I normally don't keep on hand and give them a price and delivery time only to never hear back from them. I understand if the price is above their budget but they could at least let me know that instead of just disappearing.
