I’ve got a Sheridan Silver Streak, the pump up type. It’s worked fine for 40 years. When I was recovering from surgery, my Grandmother bought it for me so I could target shoot in the back yard. And it’s great for critter control too. 3 pumps will sting a coon or dog. 5 pumps will penetrate. 7 or 8 pumps will terminate the critter. I like that variable penetration option.

I have a Benjamin 1000 FPS, but it is too loud.

Available on Amazon for the .177, but a HUNDRED more for the veinte dos? At "other sellers"?

I've had a Marauder for 10 years. It is quiet but you either have to deal with filling expensive HPA tanks to charge it, or pump it with an excruciating hand pump. PITA either way.

I you want something really quiet you will have to build it like I did. Whoa! That is awesome! Basically my same setup with the Crossman 2240 minus the camo. They have been around since 1952 and there are tons of accessories. I love the gun because it's super accurate, compact, easy to carry unlike those heavy and loud springers, which I have also but this is the one I grab. The basic pistol comes with a plastic breech, but you can order one with the steel breech, and it has the dovetail slots to accept the scope, and being steel rather than plastic makes a big difference for just a few bucks more an well worth it.

The king of the back yard air rifles is the Beeman R7. I bought a Beeman R9 20 cal about 15 years ago with a 4x12 Bushnell Banner AO air rifle scope Man, that thing is one hole accurate at 30 yards and will punch through a 2x4 awesome rifles My neigbors would hear it though if they were outside a bolt action 22 with subs and a suppressor is definitely much quieter

Quiet & powerful. .45 cal air-rifle with integral suppressor. The Airforce Texan is made in Ft. Worth I believe.

How many FPE do you need? Is it for target practice or pest control? A Crossman 2240 platform gun like the one above is really easy to charge with a hand pump. If you match one with a Donny FL moderator they are really quite but you still hear the hammer strike. The downside is the barrels are $hit, so if you need any kind of distance, budget for a barrel swap up front. A old fashion Daisy 880 may do the job.
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!
