I would leave the feeders alone. But I'd change to Indian corn, the deer will really stay at your feeder longer.

I feed Indian Corn, the deer really seem to like it and stay at the feeder longer......and longer....!

One of my reasons for adding more feeders than the minimum for the number of hunters is as a contingency plan: Stuff goes wrong and you may be glad to have a third option...

blinds blow over or feeders go out of commission at the worst possible time. Coons tear feeders up and empty them and no corn for 2 weeks prior to a big trip.... Aoudad or hogs take a feeder to the ground. dead battery, a loose wire, or a bad /miss-set timer, no corn, game moves elsewhere. feed bag paper strip gets dropped in a feeder and blocks the spout... no corn. Set screw comes loose on spinner plate and no corn hits the ground.... I've even had yellow jackets invade a blind, and had to spray 2 cans to clear em out... Smell not good....

If you decide not to hunt a third location, consider setting a second feeder on another sendero at your existing set-ups. Odds are better they won't both bail on you at the same time... That approach has saved a lot of hunts for me...

I have 4 feeders at my stand alone Each one goes off twice in the morning and twice in the evening and see alot of deer. Add more feeders at each stand, and split the timers to go off at different times.

Wind position is a good point. We have more feeders than hunters and we always wonder what came in.

Two words......Trail Camera

If the feeders are not terribly far apart, the local wildlife will start making daily "rounds" to all of them anyway.

You don't need another feeder to draw deer off the feeders you are hunting. If you want to do something different, try some protein or maybe roasted soy... it pulls them in and they like it... The turkey and quail love it also. I'd put up a fence around them to keep the pigs away, for sure... Good luck..

I've always found that if you have a place where you can afford to have an area with good cover and where nobody goes into by designating the area "off limits" even with a small place you will have more deer hanging around your feeders rather than placing another feeder.

You have to give the deer a sanctuary where they feel safe and don't have the smell of humans contaminating the area.

They will feed at your two feeders and venture off to where they feel safe and then return the short distance to feed again.

Most people hunt, and walk all over their lease and then wonder why they don't see any deer once the season gets going and just chalk it up to the deer got smarter, but no, the hunters get dumber.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

We have 300 acres and just re-did all our feeders towards the center of the property and cut it back to 2 feeders running all year. We also have food plots close to both feeders.

I would set up the 3rd feeder, gives the hunters options. if you get to the lease and find out one of your feeder has not been throwing for a week or so you can still have a quality set up. If you shoot a deer/hog at a feeder and have to tromp around alot tracking it down, you have a fresh setup to move to on the next sit.

Use came cameras if you are concerned about what came in when you were on your other set. I would have two feeders per hunter... if i could afford the corn.

I'm thankful for the things i have and all the things i don't

Imo thats the way to do it. I bet you will see more deer under the feeder at one time now. Also they may bed down a littl more towards the core of the property. I like it.
