I think you will see more and more people fleeing the big cities. Quality of life in the city is not what it used to be. Problems are real as is concern for personal safety. I would not live in Dallas if you paid me.

Not really in the city but starting to be absorbed by San Antonio.
Just heard of a "protest" being planned, I am sure they will be bussing in folks for this.
If you want to get stupid, this is a bad place to do it.

I lived through the Civil Rights Protests and the Vietnam War Protests, in comparison this is nothing.

Fortunately I live in Far N Dallas it is pretty calm in this general area so no real concern here.
I would be a lot more cautious if I lived close to or in any downtown area, they are ground zero for those A Holes.
Demographics play a big part in it too, I feel sorry for the good people in lower income areas where there is a greater chance of all hell braking loose just so they can do some looting in the name of protesting whip

This thing will have a lot of folks question how and where they choose to live their life. I can't even fathom living in a place run by liberals, especially in a state as red as Texas.

Could you imagine living down off a Knox Street in Dallas? Probably do not sleep well on the nights of protest.

A lot of cities, especially downtowns, are going to be left to the lefty loons and their pie-in-the-sky ideas, so a lot more great American cities will start looking like Detroit. The virus forcing so many to work from home and reshaping how business is conducted, plus the protests, have possibly changed the landscape forever. I realize that the protests aren't like the '60's, but it's reminded us that we're not as civilized and "evolved" (rolleyes) as some of us thought. Another leftist idea that we should all live very close together and take mass transit has completely fallen apart.

I am worried that these bored, spoiled, and stupid white kids, that have been immersed in nothing but secularism could again be organized by the puppet masters to protest (and riot) against just about anything...hunting, guns, or even Christianity.

Wife and I celebrated our anniversary recently - we decided on a nice dinner out and were originally planning to go to one of the steakhouses in downtown FW. With all of the protests, we ended up at a place in the 'burbs instead. Too bad, I enjoy getting out downtown, and sure those restaurant operators need all the help they can get as they re-open, but not worth the hassle right now. Not really worried, as much as we didn't want to take the chance of being bothered on our night out.

Country Boy applied and replied anyway. If these misguided and deranged individuals want to start anything other than a peaceful protest they should do their homework first.

No. East Dallas is very quiet. Some tiny groups with signs at one park. Crazy some are my friends. Oh well I don't engage. Drink beer and talk about other crap. Weird.
