My office is requiring all employees to undergo a Covid test. Not the spit test which would have been nice but they are doing the old fashioned Q-tip swab. The doc eyeballs how far he thinks he can shove the tip up each nostril then goes to town. Man did that burn.

it's a liability deal because we got test yesterday but don't go back until Monday but at least they're trying....

anyone else doing this for work?

Yep, I get tested every two weeks with the ole brain tickler. Not that bad but not pleasant either.

We test all of our employees (I'm in healthcare) every other week, but we use a throat swab. Much less irritating than the nasal swab. One quick gag as they swab your tonsils then its over.

BTW - We've had 100% negative results on our 500+ employees each of the last 2 times we tested.

Thank goodness no....but our temperatures are checked every morning and they ask us if we have any of the symptoms.

What if you don't have tonsils?

We check temps daily in addition to the biweekly testing. Our company runs the tests in our in house lab so we get the brain tickle treatment instead of the other options.

It's not a conspiracy theory, I know all the guys who are sick, one of them is very sick from it.

Good luck to your guys , its got to be tough. I can see this with officers since they are on the front lines. Well wishes

Increased testing means increased positive results.

We haven't increased testing. If someone feels sick, they get tested. We had 9 a few months ago and then a long period of nothing, this week, 6 guys got sick. No random testing.

I pay no attention to that. Only that the death toll is climbing.
