We have been informed that BLM will meet with the city officials to stage a protest in Marble Falls. Lampasas is also expected to have a protest, possibly this weekend. There was word that there was to be a protest in Llano this weekend and they were to walk and/or block the traffic on the bridge crossing the Llano river. The protest I think people will stand for but if someone tries the rioting and looting thing, that may not end so well for them.

I'm working in Llano, there was a scare of sorts that the protesters would block the bridge at 4:30 yesterday. Nothing happened, not a protester in sight. I think most of it is to try to scare people.

They need to stay in their cities. This just proves that agitators are traveling around.

I don't consider Abilene a small town but we had a APF police led march..
The police department organized and escorted the protest.
Though it was a smart move.
I do not believe we will see any protests in Clyde where I live, for obvious reasons....

Stephenville had one, there were no issues. It ended up with police from Stephenville and neighboring towns among the protesters, and they just basically had a meet and greet. The one bad act was a person that drug an American Flag down the street behind them. Dragging the very flag that represents their right to assemble and protest says all one needs to know about that individual.

The local newspaper in Marble Falls posted the protest date, wish they would stop doing so, but Austin is 50 minutes away and I don't believe most of the protesters have intelligence to get here.

On Tuesday, there was a peaceful protest on Main Plaza in downtown New Barnflies. Appeared to be a bunch of well behaved, white apologists seeking student loan debt forgiveness (yes, description mine). The sad part is later that day, posts started coming out about the intent to protest later that night at the police station. Remember when living near the PD office was the safest place in town? No longer the case. I had clients going home to retrieve protective devices and ultimately, slept in their places of business. Some of the incendiary remarks included and I do paraphrase - there are lot of Germans there, les go burn them down. From what I understand local LE was aware of the situation certainly must have been on high alert.
Nothing materialized for which I am extremely thankful. People are real brave on the rather anonymous innerweb and I guess that is a good thing because the consequences of their actually taking action might not work well in their favor. I will say, there are more people prepared and carrying right now than ever before.

What’s the schedule for Lampasas and Marble Falls? I’ll need to travel that way home on Friday.

They need to stay in their cities. This just proves that agitators are traveling around. These are not agitators. This is a methodical and coordinated effort to spread a message of fear and guilt to outside the big cities. When DoorDash, Google and other large corporations are donating millions to BLM you understand the motivation to keep these protests alive. In addition, you understand that now they have the funds and the ability to drive their protests and message anywhere they want. The agitators are in there, yes. But the bigger picture is we can come to you anytime, anywhere. This isn't going away - it will only grow unfortunately.

My brother said Red Oak was yesterday.
If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

My hope is that they are not traveling around looking for an "incident" that they can build off of. Because blocking the bridge in Llano would be a pretty surefire way to cause an incident with some of the locals around there....and I wouldn't blame them one bit for causing one.
Maybe if these big city protesters realized that the small town folk are as live and let live as it gets, they wouldn't go start problems with them. However, don't think these people want to "let live". They want to force everyone to do it their way.

All that said, if they want to walk around the square share their message, and not block traffic and people trying to work, then I'm all for it.
I'm 100% behind the first amendment no matter what you want to say. And being peaceful and civil about the sharing of that message is a better way to get people on board with it, instead of perpetuation the stereotypes that are already out there about you. You catch more flies with honey...

I don't get it? Isn't blocking a street or bridge illegal? Especially a primary artery. That's not a 1st amendment right!

It seems like they always arrest the guy that tries to drive around or through the idiots blocking the street. Why don't the arrest the idiots on the street.

And if their true goal is to spread their message and not just to irritate, they wouldn't be blocking traffic. Exactly how is that supposed to help? I guess they think lots of folks that are on their way to work (or anywhere) and get stuck in traffic because you're standing in the middle of the highway won't immediately despise you and your message. Good luck with that.
