I am afraid this is only the first round, I think there is a lot more bad news in the future, and that is long term, at least well into next year.

If we don't put an end to this soon I suspect you're right.

The morning paper reported that they were mingling in order to get the virus.

I read that 27 million Americans may have lost health insurance as a result of unemployment. So far.

Nobody knows what the US economy is going to do or how quickly. If you did, you’d be a zillionaire next month.

This is what I do know..... even with recent past Administrations, that did everything they could to kill the spirit of success and entrepreneurship in this country, we not only survived - we have flourished.

You cannot keep Americans down.
We will win. Again. And soon.

What happens in November will decide the future economy and so much more.

If 27 million Americans lost health insurance, makes you wonder how many still have auto insurance.

"I got $1200 of MY money back from the government, which I have no problem with." Yeah, they took YOUR taxes and set it aside in a separate account in case somethin like this happened.
Plain & simple, this self serving mindset is not correct. When you get $ back from the government, pretty sure others contributed to it.

Definitely need to get this country back on track. I agree that what happens in November will have a major impact, and let's hope that they don't take the senate and keep the house. All of that said, there seems to be a glossing over, not necessarily in this forum but across the board, on the impact and cascading effects of the last 2 months. We will be significantly lower economically speaking over the next 12-18 months than we were, and if they don't get this ship righted then we will descend through purgatory to the lower depths for longer.

survived round one of lay offs. "Voluntary" sign up for 15% reduction in pay in exchange for (1) 4 day work week and (2) not eligible for lay offs for the next 3 months. Better than the alternative and feel blessed to have a job.

So-- My being a truck driver don't look too bad for once. Working all the hours the dam Government thinks it is safe for us to work. It was more fun when we all ran outlaw. Two or three log books, a lot less traffic, no DOT physical < done by a guy that could not start a truck> and not near the harresment by the police inspectors that Dont have a clue what the part does that he is writing you up for. Maybe its time to retire. If all do retire the country shuts down and dies.

I have gone through job loss before, it sucks. It’s awful and most of the time unfair. Definitely thinking about those who have lost their job due to a hysteria from corona

I hear ya. They’re making it harder and harder to earn a living in a truck. Or anything related to having a CDL, for that matter.

Good truck drivers don’t need a nanny, and nobody will save you from the bad ones.
