Gents, Matt from Birdworks will be on the show tomorrow afternoon. I was thinking of a something new we haven't done on the show before. We have never had a taxidermist on and Matt has always gotten stellar reviews on the THF. Taxidermy is such an integral part of what we love...and harvesting that special trophy worthy of mounting is such an exciting experience. I think the art often is overlooked. We will go over field care, how to store birds once you have them home, the process of mounting a bird and Matt will also tell about some of the most unique birds he has ever mounted. We haven't set an exact time ( still waiting on conformation from the widow of Texas Game Warden Justin Hurst) but Matt will be on sometime between 4 and 5. I have a redhead in my freezer with Matt's name on it and some day, hopefully in the not too distant future, I will discover a gap between work and family commitments and haul my dead [censored] over there to drop it off.
