I was reading what was said on junfan's thread, which raised a question that I've had going back a couple of seasons.
The 10 day rule:
From what I can tell, it would be legal to hunt ducks on a place that WAS baited as long as all the bait has been gone for 10 days.
Is my assumption correct?

Incorrect... Once all of grain, salt, mineral is absent, you must wait an additional 10 days before you can hunt that location.

Yep, must wait ten days AFTER all bait has been cleared off!

Thanks guys, that's what I said, 10 days after the bait is gone.
I threw out 250 lbs. of corn on one of my spots after the season was over last year. I was attempting to take some cool photos, which I did.
They plowed thru all that corn in one week!

Just be sure it's ALL GONE, one grain of salt, or one piece of corn is all it takes to be hunting over bait......Just be careful this is a thin-line issue.
Team Hillbilly I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left. Paralyzed Veterans of America

Have any of you guys hunted that feed lot up in Bowie? I went about 5 years ago with an outfitter up there. Those ducks and geese are getting fat on grain, but I guess it's legal. Normal ag practice, I guess? The father of my wife's best friend owns several feed lots out west. He goes, "You like hunting ducks?" I said, uh yes I do. He told me that he doesn't hunt them but there are thousands of ducks and geese at his lots. That's why you should always be pimpin' a DU cap! I'll post pictures!

You have to be a certain amount of feet away from feed when you hunt a tail water pit off of a feed lot.. You need to measure it off, or send a picture from jail

Those rules are confusing. I'll just call the GW office.
