I’ll be loading the 139 Scenar for my 6.5 Creedmoor. I’ll be using H4350, Hornady brass, and BR2 primers. My question is for those of you who have loaded this bullet. Is it sensitive to seating depth in relation to the lands? In the past I’ve loaded 143 ELD-X with good results .005 off the lands. Just wanted to see what your experience has been with the Scenar.

No, it’s a tangent bullet. Great bullet.

That’s what I’ve been hearing! I’m looking forward to trying them out! I was using 42.1 of H4350 on the 143 ELD-x y’all think it will be about the same charge weight for the Scenar?

I think you find it a little different but would expect less than .5gr difference. In my 6.5-284 .2 made a difference between what it likes between 139 Lapua and 140gr Berger VLD hunting.

Its not scientific at all, but I have had luck setting up a seating die and working up a good load and having it work well for several bullets.

I worked up a load for 100 grain sierra prohunters in my savage 243 winchester (40 grains IMR-4350). After bedding and floating the action it shot less than moa with that load. I also had some 100 grain Hornady btsp's and nosler 100 grain partitions. I loaded the Hornady and partitions over the same powder charge and used the seating die set the same way and the Hornady's shot ragged hole groups and the partitions were easily under moa as well. 3 bullets one seating die and powder charge all shot very well. It was before I had my chronograph so no velocity data.

+1 and +1. I run the 155 Scenar's in my AR-10 308 and they have worked very well.
