So I ordered a carbon McMillan Game Warden for my Tikka CTR today. I have it ordered in Sonoran transition right now but I’m thinking of changing it to desert transition. Anyone have one on these colors? Which would you choose?

IMO Dark > Desert > Sonoran

They all look nice. The Desert Transition caught my eye most of those 3.

I have a Game Warden on my CTR. Mine is the molded in Sonoran Ambush. Game Warden is a great stock for the CTR.

I prefer the Sondran one. I have a keen sense of style too.

Desert Transition for me. When I'm on the ground it's a sandy river bed. Other times I'm on the ground when the grass is dormant. But that's me, what's your area like?

Thanks for all the input! I had another color in mind when I called to order it, but didn’t realize they advise against most colors they offer on the carbon fiber stocks since the black carbon bleeds through.

This is going on a stainless barreled action so that’s why I was thinking the lighter desert color might be better.

Wow, those are nice! I went from a stock (HS Precision) over to a chassis, then back to the stock. I have small hands and thought the pistol grip would suit me better but the whole unit never felt right. Maybe I didn't give it enough time. Sure looked cool though.

This changes my answer...for SS I would go Desert because it has some grey which would match the SS better, IMO. If it was a black action/barrel I would go Dark Desert.

Sonoran, the darker the better.

Im in the camp that personally thinks wood stock are art work not tools. I use tools, I look at art
