i own both a m77 and a model 700. hunt with my uncles model 70 from time to time.
imo the hawkeye is an ugly SOB, not a fan of the stock on the typical BDL 700, so I would have to say model 70 first, then a 700, then a vanguard if it had a nice wood stock.
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Winchester 70 because of the Mauser control feed action. Second would be the Ruger for the same reason

Remington 700. Never had one not shoot
The laminated stock might be a little heavier , which isnt a bad deal with that cal. LStocks are usually a little tougher and hide little scratches and such.

Winchester Model 70 Featherweight, because of control round feeding, 3 position safety and great looks!! I have several in different calibers and they shoot great too.

I would like to see how the accustock shoots. The 700 is also a good choice.
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

The Varmint designation means a heavier barrel and different profile stock than standard.

Remington 700 BDL. In my opinion the best gun for the money on the market. They don't have to make a 1.5" guarantee. They just do it.

Go buy you a Remington 700 and you won't be disappointed. I have looked at the Marlin and it is a nice rifle and has great features for the money. But for the money a 700 is hard to beat.
What kind of lights does it shoot out? Like are we talkin the mini bulb Christmas lights or a 500 watt flood light?

I own a Rem 700 CDL in 270win, and my new $300 Marlin XL7 in 270win will out shoot it all day. I bought the Marlin as a beater gun but it has become my go to gun.

The marlin is more accurate than my rem700 no matter what ammo I put through it. The bolt isn't near as slick but accuracy is more important to me.

I also used to own a reminton 700VLS in .308 it was a nice rifle and shot extremely well, but its to heavy to be practical for hunting and now I think they are over priced

i have a hard time believing that a model 700 would get outshot by a marlin.....

My friend bought one and it also shoots very well. Has been reviewed nicely, too.
She was only a whiskey maker, but he loved her still.

I am addicted to my stainless steel Ruger M77 MKII. Mine is 7mmRemMag and I have never had an issue with it. With technology being pretty much the same nowadays and all the brands mentioned having a good name, I would buy the cheapest one that suits your needs.
