I just saw a Wildview camera setup at Sams for about $100. It says: 2.0 Megapixel camera 128 MB card 4 c cell batteries included LCD status screen (what's that?) Time and date stamp on/off switch for flash mode USB for PC download Low battery indicator
I didn't buy it. I figured to come here and ask questions. I would really be concerned about battery usage. Can anyone add the stuff here to the Sportsmans Guide ad and make some sense?

dgilbert I dont have camera running but I enjoy the picture. Any thought on the below suggestions? Think this would help some on judging size ? James
GAME CAMERAS The game camera pictures are really nice to see. There are a lot of discussions on how big game is. There is no perspective in picture to judge the game cam pictures with. It would be nice if people would put something in the background for perspective. Example: Set the camera at 4 foot high and have a several reflective markers or post in the background at 4 foot high. Spacing these marker or post 4 foot apart would help with horizontal perspective This way you would at least people would have some perspective to judge game by. James

I just got my Moultrie 3.1 and added the 1GB SD Card, it went from 100 pics memory to 4500 pics by adding the 1GB card. I got it off ebay for $17.00

I have a Wildview Extreme II 2.1 MPixel. This link has example pics from it. Mine takes about 200 pictures a week and I have to change the 4 C cell batteries every two weeks to keep the flash bright. It does have a little trouble at night if something in the distance triggers it. The flash is probably only good for 10-15 feet. Got mine at cabelas for $99 last year. I have a 256MB SD card to. You'll need an SD card. http://www.texashuntingforum.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/114129/an/0/page/11#Post114129

I've used the Stealth Cam 2.1 with external battery. Pics are decent but the trigger speed is very slow. Sometimes I walk up to it, look at it and leave. Then the flash goes off, maybe 10 seconds or more after I entered the field of view at 15-20 ft. Sometimes I see deer that I know are in its field of view but when I check it, there are no pics of them. I think it is ok for a feeder camera but not a trail camera.
