Any idea how long the lines are at this location? I've given up on McKinney. Their online appointments start booking at 6:59 a.m. and after several attempts, I've still not been able to book, as all the slots are filled by 7:05 am
And yes I have to go in and show them my smiling face, along with my birth certificate, 1st grade report card, etc.
Getting kinda nervous, my license expires in 10 days.

The last time I was there in the morning, about 6 months ago, around a 2 hour wait.

Meh. Heard on the news a guy got pulled over and has not had a license since 1976.

It's been a little over a year since I had to go but total time was a little less than 2 hours. Get there at opening time.

A coworker went to the one in Waxahachie without an appointment - in and out in 10 minutes. I thought I would be smart and go to Bonham on my way home from a hunting trip - took 5 hours. They weren't even that busy, but only had 2 people working for all of Fannin Co.

We passed the DPS office in Brenham yesterday just after they opened and there had to be 50 people in line. It looked like mostly kids on spring break taking their driving tests. Never saw it that crowded.

why can you not renew online? Every so often you have to go in and get a new picture taken. Every other expiration, I think.

Rockwall used to be the spot. Don't live in the area anymore so maybe its just as crowded as the others now

Years ago there was a DPS office, more of a desk, at the back of Dallas City Hall. All they did was renewals and replacements. Longest line I ever saw there was one person ahead of me.

I went to the Garland Mega Center on Saturn and the line was wrapped around two sides of the building. At least 1-1/2 hours just to get in the building. Stood out in the cold wind for 20 minutes before I bailed and went to Canton. They had 5 people ahead of me in line and with three clerks working I was in and out in no time.

Went to the one in Waxahachie a couple of years ago to get a new picture. In and out in a few minutes shy of 2 hours.

Gainesville wasn't too bad when I took my daughter. 45 mins to an hour if you don't mind driving a little further.
