What are some of the plant species used in West Texas plots? What seeds/blends and methods for sowing the seeds have you used for different times of the year?

I would plant wheat and Austrian winter peas. . Austrian winter peas have moderate drought tolerance but have good winter hardiness. Deer love them.
50lbs per acre. Wheat 100lbs per acre. If no soil test, then 150--200lbs per acre of 13-13-13.

not pushing anyone to buy from either of these (though both are very reputable), but you can look and see what they offer here and decide what you want for yourself

both are in west Texas as well
