I always wanted an impact but never had one and never seemed to want one enough when I found one to buy it. Got one for Christmas this year and finally broke it out. WOW is all I can say. I have rotated tires every 5000-10000 miles by hand with a breaker bar since I was 10 or 12 years old with my dad. I consider myself lazy now lol

Whats a tool etc. you didn't know you NEEDED till you had it

Having the right tool for the job makes all the difference.

I liked having an impact wrench so much that I added an impact ratchet to my collection.

One of the most useful tools that every handyman should have is a oscillating saw that can be used to make cuts in very tight places. The first time I saw one was when a friend was using it to cut PVC pipe under his camp trailer that had busted during a freeze. No way you could have used a hand saw to cut those pipes in such confined places.

They’ll change your life. Torquing 1 1/2” bolts by hand for years will nearly make you cry at the sight of hydraulic wrenches.

Amen brother.

Air tools are tough to beat, though some of the electric impacts and ratchets are getting there.

Ive got a rusty gerber multitool and probably 300 allen wrenches from putting furniture together(comes with the furniture)..............and a broke tape measure.\

Oh and I have lots of monkey hooks.

I figured out this weekend we can put everything we own in a Ford Expedition(use it like a pod) and ship it to where we are moving.........when we decide.

The problem with tools is you never have the right one.....................its like meth. A bad habit to buy your first tool.

If, for whatever reason, you want a situation where you will never have the right tool? Just buy an English sports car from the 60’s or 70’s.

Just don't overtighten the lugs with the impact.

Ive had a few times where it was heck to get the lugs off when trying to change a flat tire because they were overtightened.

My favorite thing is my dewalt grease gun. It makes greasing the tractor and implements a breeze!

Every tool (software) I write. Otherwise I wouldn't write it.

Use a torque wrench now to tighten them. Never had an issue doing it without but I got one so I use it. Torque wrench is nice to have also for other jobs so I don’t have to rent one. [Linked Image]

Go cordless. Just purchase a impact the same brand as the other tools you already have

What is the consensus on using an impact on keyed lug nuts?
