Where did you hear this?

My mistake. I just finished new truck shopping and was told by numerous dealers this was to meet stricter 2020 CAFE standards. BUT - according to greenreports.com - it is only on 57% of all new 2020 vehicles. Ford has committed to putting on 70% of all new vehicles. Apparently diesels and heavier trucks are exempt.

When you say cars, do you means 1/2 trucks too?

If so, that’s crazy

I agree completely. In Texas summer heat I sure don't want it to quit running unless I'm home and headed in the house. Where I live in small town America I leave it running in about every parking lot with the air running if it is just a quick trip into the store, except Walmart.

I have the last Jeep JK Wrangler and it doesn't have it. I've read PLENTY of complaints about the auto stop/start on JL Wranglers on the Jeep forum. Also, the first Jeep JLs, about like all new versions of anything, had bugs.

I love this Jeep. However, when the day comes that it is time for it to go I bet my next vehicle will be a 4-Runner. When I don't need to be in my truck I have really gotten spoiled on how easy it is park, maneuver around parking lots, etc. The 4-Runner is about the same size.

We bought a 2018 Cherokee Trailhawk for my wife, she loves how it drives. I don’t mind it either after turning off the auto start/stop. Plenty of pep, rides nice, and if you choose to, it will go almost anywhere.

By the time the US manufacturers are all leaving the idiotic stop/start meeting in 2027, you will have more electric vehicles on the road anyway and 7/11 stores and allsups bean burritos will declare bankruptcy ... its so freakin obvious

I’m convinced only 3/4 tons or bigger actually hold up

Wife's 2018 F-150 has it, my 2019 F 350 doesn't.

Just imagine running the blower after turning the engine off, It’s that exactly. The motor will turn back on when a certain temperature or humidity level is reached.

it's a pity in my 2019 Jeep Cherokee, it has almost become automatic to also click it off when putting the tranny in gear to go.

On the F-150 doesn't it have a button on the dash to turn it off?

Only problem is that it's a Jeep.
