I don't know if this was posted before, but it is important. This year the lifetime supercombo is going up from $1000 to $1800. Get them now. Here is a link: web page

That is totally stupid. Did Obama talk to TPWD about the increase fee????? I can't see how they justify it, other then they say it hasn't increased in 12 years, so let's send the huge shaft to everyone that wants one now??? I call it

at the current price for the super combo $64, u would have to buy one every year for over 28 years to justify $1800. thats a long time. of course we all know the licenses will go up, but still.

I think we should boycott the license. Still hunt but carry a Picket sign that says "What do we want???!!! Lower prices!!!! What do we need???!!!! Lower prices!!!!" yaddii yaddii

I bought mine about 2 years ago and I really want to buy one for each of my boys, but that is a lot of money. I wish I would have known a year or more in advance.

Does anyone know exactly when this price will go into affect...Im currently overseas and wont be home till the middle of aug and I was just wondering if it would still be $1000. If not is there anyway I can order it over the internet.

I bought the combo lifetime back in 85 IIRC for $500. It was a lot of money back then but has been well worth it.

I heard Aug 15 was the date. When I bought mine, I used a mail in form.

now is the time to do it. no season open other than hogs/exotics. u have to mail in your current license with the app. that part kinda sucks.

How do you get tags? I see that they send you a life time card but I do not under stand the whole tag thing.

Take the card to any license retailer and they will print one out for you. You can also order it from Parks and Wildlife but it's easier to just get it at your local gunshop.

I brought this price increase up in another post and got blistered. "If you don't want to hunt-don't pay, cost of hunting, etc. I stand by what I said before---this was too much of a increase. We are pricing hunters out of the sport.
