I'd rather have a electric blanket.

Give it a try. I would. I use my ugly space heater at times. You will add a little panache.

Electric blankets give me the night sweats even when turned on low for a few minutes.

A peg below a gas fireplace which I think is okay for limp wristed fellas and women that grew up without a dad.

I quit using mine after my wife died. I simply don't spend much time in my family room anymore. Have a half cord of pecan wood that is free to a good home.

A space heater is more versatile. An electric fireplace is, well, that's been covered pretty well so far.

Different strokes for different folks. I would be interested. I spend most of my time at home reading in my bedroom. Do you have the link or a picture of the one you are considering?

Looking at a few. Don't need to heat my whole house anymore and I will prob be spending more awake.time in my bedroom than I used to. I have a space heater, ordered a remote control thermostat plug also. Also need some new furniture in there so ia fireplace would double as a mantle for pictures and stuff. Think maybe I ll skip it for now. Use.the space heater, add a couple candles for ambiance. Maybe run a gas line from my furnace closet in the future and a dearborn or ng fireplace when I can afford that.

I have a fireplace in my master bedroom that comes on with a electric switch on the wall, it powered by natural gas, it does a rather good job heating the bedroom, it fake wood and glass on the front.

My fireplace in my living room, I converted it to a fake logs, I don't have to jack with wood anymore

Never mind. I looked them up. I could live with this one.

Be right back with my location. It has a 110 there.

Dang. All hope is lost. Just when I was thinking there might be something else we agree on. Lol

We have one and it really looks good. Can use to heat or just for ambiance. We have a bigger house and very few people so can turn it on and knock off the chill in bed room. Go for it.
