This is a tough one, so to speak.
Most places I've been in the area
have "puffy batter" syndrome.
You know what I'm talking about.
When it's all said and done the best
I can offer is, go to Snuffers and
order the Angus Beef Strip basket.
It ain't a "steak" but for taste
and texture it is hard to beat.
Question: does anyone have a review
of the Two Rows in Allen? Seems I
heard they had a good one but I've
not been there myself.

Two Rows in Allen has great food (taste and portions) and dollar pints of their home brews Mon-Wed!

I'm liable to be there on any given Mon-Wed but usually sitting in the bar area.

Yep, but there is still one in Plano on Independence.
Honestly I don't know where to get a good chicken fry around here.
Babe's in Frisco is decent, but Mary's has ruined my expectations

Also a Grandys on 15th just E of 75.
Not that it matters for CFS, but the
chicken is ok.
Collin Cty is definatly not a CFS destination.
The closest exceptional CFS I've had is at
Ozonas on Greenville Ave. It is very good.
I've not been to the famous Mary's.

The best chicken fried steak in Texas is Andy's Steak and Sea Food in Fredricksburg Texas. He was written up in Texas Monthly for it and it's pretty dang good, when I ate there. Also great breakfast. Stop in and talk to the owner his name is Don. You'll enjoy the atmosphere and down home cooking. I might have to make a road trip,  I'm gettin hungry just thinking about it. OOPS I didnt read very well I just read cfs and Andys came to mind. I didnt look at location.

In the Plano/Frisco/McKinney area - I'd go to Prairie House on 380 at Crossroads. The Roanoke one is just up the road and we like everything on the menu.
