My MIL and FIL lived through that storm they told stories of some roads that didn't open for weeks. Wind dynamics were not understood at the time and certain road cuts would trap snow.

I read an article about it every year. Crazy stuff.
I was hunting this morning when the front hit around 8:30. Watched it coming for about a half hour. Lake was pure glass all morning, then we had white caps due to the 25 mph wind. Temperature dropped almost 15 degrees immediately. It was wild.
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.
