Easy- G20. The G29 is a very short pistol. It's fine for CCW, but the G20 is a full size and is much easier to control. I generally carry a G20 in the field. I also carry my G40 in 10mm sometimes. That pistol is very accurate. I have turned the word Glock into a verb at our hunting lease. As they say, something will get "Glocked" while I am there. I'm a huge 10mm fan and absolutely love the round.

The G22 I have for sale bolt

The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

Been thinking of adding a suppressed 10mm for hunting the last few days and looking around at options
Had a G20 a long time ago..

I would agree with Chad on the 20 vs 29

Looking at options myself and a tweaked G40 with red dot, threaded barrel and lighter trigger is looking interesting to me
Maybe even one of the Lone Wolf lowers

Chad, I took a look at your ammo, assume you run the 200g XTP load for hunting?

Yes, Charles, I like the 200 XTP the best. I've shot pigs with this round and they fold. But I've ran the 180 XTP also. I just loaded up some 180 grain Speer Gold Dots (UHP bonded bullet) in some 10mm for me and a customer. I really want to try this bullet out. That huge HP front end, bonded bullet, and 1220+ fps should do really well as a hunting bullet. I killed a doe last year with my carry Glock 23 in 40 S&W shooting the same 180 grain GD bullet at a modest velocity. She dropped on impact from 13 yards.

Glock 20. Field defense pretty much means you don't need to worry about concealing it, it'll be open carry. Glock 29 is a smaller gun designed more for concealed carry, which is great if that's what you're looking for, but for field defense a full size is usually the best way to go since you don't need to worry about concealing it.

I love my G20! 180 grain Gold Dots at 1200 fps 6.5" Lone Wolf barrel. Now with a small green dot sight!
Hog medicine, waiting on another opportunity.

Glock 20 for me, I also have a new toy as of this weekend. Haven't got to use it yet. A CMMG Banshee in 10mm that uses Glock mags. Have several 33 Round mags with the KRISS extensions to use in both guns now...33 rounds of full bore 10mm...(insert Tim "the Toolman" Taylor grunts here....)

I killed two things last weekend with my 8' Wilson Combat AR9 using the Hornady Critical Duty 135g +p
Headshot on a 150lb hog at 100 yards and a doe at 65
