I sold my last one when I was 48. I do ride my sons Harley sometimes and I'm 69. I won't ever buy another one.

nope, gave up street riding many years ago ... just too many idiots out on the highways these days that don't pay attention to 2 wheel vehicles. I logged several hundred thousand miles on my street bikes as they were my main mode of transportation thru high school, college and the first 10+ years as a professional, too many close calls in Austin traffic just took it's toll on me to justify the savings. I would still love a weekend ride out thru the hill country but my wife isn't all that much into the heat/cold and wind.

We are in our mid/late 50’s...getting ours ready to sell...

Been riding since I was 13...made a 5k mile trip to the west coast and a similar trip to the east Coast...

Too many idiots jacking with their phones for me to continue....

I will miss it terribly but don’t feel safe in a car much less on a bike

I'm seriously considering a lighter weight Honda. The only reason I'm going to do it is because I have a good place to ride. I live north of the metroplex. I can get up early on a Saturday or Sunday and be pretty much traffic free from the house. I would not own one if I had to ride from the city to the country for the same reasons mentioned above. Too many idiots on the road.

I still ride at 62. Weather permitting, my m/c is my commuter vehicle.

Last time I mentioned that I'd like to have another bike, my wife told me that I'm too old to ride anymore (64). I told her that I'm not too old to ride, I'm just too old to heal up quickly after the crash!!!!

51 here and I ride. Why does it have to be a Harley?

I'm 67 and have been thinking hard about a trail bike to ride at my land.

Still have a '92 Honda 750 Night Hawk. Carb on the left side clogged but have been into other things instead of getting to work on it. Not real interested in riding in town anymore.

In town I would prefer to ride around in a tank, too many idiots with cell phones on the road, In the country during daylight hours I would consider riding a bike. But I do ride my bike around the block occasionally.

I'm amazed I never got into street or road bikes, my thing was in the dirt. Motocross, enduro's and Trials with Trials being my favorite.

I have 4 of them and am pushing 50. Rode since I was 12. Still own my first Harley. I don’t ride in the metro mess due to the idiots, but run the tires off of them in the country roads. Been all over the US and plan my trips on the least traveled, more scenic path.
Be damned if I will let someone else dictate my happiness.

Get you a bike, ride smart and enjoy yourself.!

Do everyone in the Hill Country a favor and whatever you get make sure it has a muffler. I used to enjoy the peace and quite here until all the Harleys had to come .

Have a 2004 softail heritage. Still ride from time to time. I'm 70 and I still have my first bike a 1966 Honda scrambler 160.

Bought this last week, sold it today. I lost my dad at 9 to a Harley accident, can't put my boys through the hard times I had, no matter how bad I want to be back out there...

I sold my Harley Deuce four years ago and quit riding. It's just too dangerous in the metroplex.

I've had many large rocks, birds hit my windshield of my car/truck and also a few deer, dogs, raccoons, possums, rabbits, and a couple hogs over the years, and if I rode a motorcycle I would have been dead a long time ago.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

I hit an armadillo one night on the last bike that I owned. That wreck is one reason that I don't have a bike today.

I've owned about a dozen motorcycles in my 55 years including 3 HDs. Riding was very important to me for many years (200,000+ miles). I've done many cross country trips including two from DFW to Sturgis. Sold my last HD in 2010 (Ultra Classic) and went the sport touring route with a Kawasaki Concourse. Great motorcycle by the way. Unfortunately, over the last several years of riding, it felt that every time I left the house on the bike, someone was out to get me. Texting, phones, distractions are bad, but the shear volume of traffic around town got me started in losing interest. Finally sold the Concourse in 2015 and sometimes, especially on cool weather weekends, I miss riding, but not enough to go shopping.

Will add, in looking at the new HDs, they have really lost the core attraction to me. They seem to be all tricked out and not the nostalgia of past models. Maybe just me, but seems they are reaching to find new customers while forgetting about the riders that have been their base for decades.

I have seen some late model, bare bones Harleys out there. Even complimented a guy at Allsups who was gasing his up. Said to him "now, that's what motorcycles are supposed to look like". But I know what you mean by being "all tricked out". Seems like these folks don't know whether they want to ride or drive. smile

Not to offend anyone, but I wouldn't ride anything else.

A big reason we finally decided to say goodbye to our little slice of Paradise between Grapetown and Luckenbach. Too many wannabe bikers that just had to be noticed. And bicyclists. And runners. And EVERYBODY, including a neighbor that went ape you-know-what over crappy Texas wine. It's not enough to enjoy yourself anymore; you have to impose on someone else's peace and make dam sure they notice you.
