So, I am not sure if this is the place to go, but I am really proud of my son right now. I know.. this is a Hunting forum, and as such, you all have kids and grandkids in scouting, so... this is supporting him, but really about bragging about him right now. As such, I will also share the link, but am sorry if it is not allowed, not sure, just having some fun with him atm wink

Nathan is 9, almost 10, and has been in scouting for a couple years, but the last pack did not do anything. We did not know he could earn money towards college by selling popcorn because that pack chose not to do popcorn sales.

This year, we started Saturday... and.. truth be told, it was like 103 degrees at one point and we were still having a blast...hanging out together at Lowes.

So, here is a link to his popcorn sales.

Guys, it is crazy high prices for popcorn...I get it. I am used to buying cases of cookies from my daughter.. lol.. but, if you like it, care to donate, it is a worthy cause.. and they also do Military donations.

All tax free and no shipping costs and if you send me a PM when you buy, Nathan will personally call and give you his sales pitch AND a follow up thank you for supporting Scouting wink

I will see if it will let me do a link AND a video :P.. the video is really cute.. heh

Thanks everyone, and feel free to share the link.. heh

We got started in Cub Scouts this year. I even volunteered to be an Assistant Den Leader. I just wanted to make sure that the kids had plenty of adult leadership. Just glad my former ag teacher skills are being put to use.

Webelos. Now there is a word I haven’t heard in a long time. I loved scouting.

Thanks guys. I am also just about done with my Den Leader training, I have 3 more videos to watch. Hoping he keeps at it as well and goes to Eagle. It will take a lot of work from us, wife and I, as well, but as long as we keep encouraging and helping him and spending time with him so he is not doing it alone, I think it will happen and the lessons he will learn will last a lifetime... I hope wink

Anyway, thanks for letting me post about it.. heh.

Pleased to hear of his accomplishments and dedication! My son attained his Eagle a few years ago, and we could not have been prouder. There are lots of distractions that come about, but with some focus, very attainable. Good luck!
