Really??? I would have done this myself if I knew these idiots did this crap. I ripped it off and said come redo it. I first ripped off the 1/4 piece that I said do not reuse and of course they did. Hell, they sell 16 feet baseboards at HD. Need 15.5 feet on this wall. If you do join it, cut an angle and do it right. This is just one of many issues. They got paint on the new hardwoods they just had refinished.

Merit Based Immigration is the only answer. Haha... You know it's all about money. Cheapest labor apparantly gets to stay. Maybe I need to open carry and they will get it done correct the first time. Only taken 2 months so far!!! Probably make more screwing it up and redoing it.

Yeah, the better half just sent me this about the “repair” we had done to the sewer line in the back yard. The “plumber” no speekee english. From a ,until now, reputable plumbing company.

Is that the same guy that refinished Bills front door? Probably. And I need that done too. Will do that myself at this point. This guy lost a deck, fence, driveway and pergola job. Everything but the driveway is easy anyway. I ain't supporting that crap... I have great subs for electrical and plumbing luckily.

You almost have to monitor what's going on, as it's going on with anyone. We had a problem with sewer backing up at home. One of the big plumbing outfits came out, snaked it, no change, then got his snake stuck with a bunch spooled out. He told me it was a problem at the street connection. City checked their side, no problem. They then tell me they have to dig up the connection on my side, it has to be broken and it'll be a $5k+ bill. They show with a small excavator while I attended a meeting the next day. I come home and they are banging on rock with the bucket in a hole about 12ft in diameter and about 8ft down. I ask them if the homebuilder put the solid rock on top of the line after he installed/buried it? They weren't even in the right place... We go back to the house where the cleanouts are and I ask him what these other 2" or so pipes we see sticking up are. The house was on a downhill slope kind of and had a basin with a lift pump (that had gone out) that pumped sewer up to the street connection. Dig that up, take the cover off and there's his snake, all coiled up in the basin. They sheepishly filled up their excavator hole and told me there wouldn't be a charge, came back out and re-sodded the yard where they tore it up.
I always "trust but verify" for anything done at the house now, does not happen unattended.
Charlie

I feel for ya. Unskilled, poorly skilled, illeagal or what ever adjective you choose may be cheap, but brings no value.
The more we allow, the standard continues to decline.
If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?
