I have a pair of those and they are AWESOME. It is amazing how late into the season you can wear these with Fleece wadidng pants and under armour.

I havent worn my neo waders in two years. Only one time did I wish I was wearing them and that's because I was up in the pan handle.

I wear breathable waders half or more of the time. In fact I think I used commercial fishing hip boots more than I did either of my waders last year.

I really like the looks of those. For waders I prefer and only use the stocking foot. These might be the exception.
If you get them, do please post a report.
John

do they come with a shovel insert so when you get stuck in the mud up too your thighs, and cant unlace the boots to slip out of them..Not a very smart concept I would think.....

I was never a fan of the stocking foot ones. I just can't see how you would wear boots over the thick neo stockings. Also it seems like you would end up getting mud/water all in the boots that would make them extremely heavy.

But when it comes to equipment and shotguns...to each his own. What works for me might not be best for the next guy and vise versa. I certainly think people sell themselves short if they don't take the time to try different things out.

Actually I used to use boot foot waders. Started flyfishing with my dad every year starting at 8 years old. I tried stocking foot waders years ago because I needed something more comfortable for my feet to wear for miles of walking trout streams, not to mention hikes to get to them. I found the stocking foot to be lighter or at least perceived to be lighter due to a light canvas boot I usually wear, but mostly it was the fit I get from wearing laced boots on them. I can wear them all day or for miles and be comfortable. Especially with the breathable ones. I can also switch boot types for the terrain without switching waders. Then there are wader issues with Snipe hunting that can involve brisk walking in suck mud all morning. Guys that go with me who show up with boot foot waders usually have major problems keeping up.
The ones guy posted would be the only way I would turn back due to them being lace up boots. But yep, to each his own.

Boot foot waders suck IMHO! But many times that is the only option there is. Seems most times waders fail is the seem around the boot. Also the boot; due to bad fit can rub you raw! And as John said uncomfortable to walk in. I have been looking for waist high stocking foots but guess what............NO ONE MAKES THEM as of today! Orvis has some nice lace up waist high but I am not about to fork out 300.00+ for them!

I would just worry about the lace up ones..I left a pair of waders in the muck after I had to use the butt of my shotgun to slip out of them...If they were"cinched up" at my ankles I would have never made it...

I have been in some bad mud but I am not as mad at them ducks as I use to be! If I have to work that hard to shoot a few ducks, think I would rather sit in a deer blind!

Maybe you should shed a few pounds big guy.

j/k, but really that has never happened to me, and I have been in a lot of mud. I think it does have a lot to do with your weight as far as getting stuck, if you are 230 vs 185, makes a big difference! I find myself having to twist my foot a lot in mud to get rid of the suction to get my foot out in boot waders, vs a lace up I think my foot would just come right out. So lace up is easier to get out of mud with your waders on I think.

But I want a pair of lace-up namely for comfort and long hikes, but yes you do need to take extra precaution, because if you do get stuck, you are in trouble, better have your cell phone/or friend with you.

yeah ask Cory about getting stuck at the "poaching place" in december..If his arse was not strong enough to get out then who is..My brother had to help him out..Tanks in Texas are notorious for silt build up..But you are a yankee so what do you know..Call Allan if you get stuck!!! .."I Think" keep thinking and see how it works out..Obviously you never passed Physics in school..

Freezing temps? What would you know about that...I hear you won't go outside when it's 40 degrees or colder.

I like stocking foot waders too, but, no matter which way you go on shoes, I think breathable are the only way to go. They are just so much more versatile...

40 degrees is freezing to him, and his dog needs triple thick dog vest.
