That's not a collar, that's a rare ring neck variety!

I think that's a neck tag, actually. That rare pygmy tiger probably got off the neighbor's high fence property.

She was only a whiskey maker, but he loved her still.

Bobcats will have horizontal stripes on the white part of the muzzle. The cat in the picture doesn't.

If that was a bobcat, and it was that size, then the ears would have black hair pointed upwards on the tips of the ears.

The picture sucks, but from the looks of it, it appears to be a couger cub in my opinion.

I've seen bobcats all my life and know people that raise them as pets, so JMO.....looks like he has something special there.

Well guys, cuzins8 has seen a ton of bobcats, so he's 110% sure. Certainly no one else on a hunting board has, so let's consider this argument closed.

Lol Geeez finally! Im never said no one else has but if uve seen many bobcats live or on trail cam its obvious this is one. But since we agree now CAMERON00 I'll leave this alone.

Maybe ALL the trail cam photos you have seen of bobcats have really been baby cougars...lmao.

THAT'S IT! Now I feel stupid. I've had dozens of baby cougars running around my place in Mexia Tx and never knew it. Wonder why I've never seen momma...?

Why are folks always wanting to call bobcats mountain lions??? I have hunters that do it all the time...guess it is what they want to see... I have picked up hunters who have "shot a mountain lion" only to run down to the downed "lion" to find the normal bobcat.

I may have to go look myself later this week, check out some of the local watering holes they're known to frequent. Photo safari only, 'cause I'll have hell to pay if I brought one home with me......
