I remember. Drove from Sherman to Houston that Friday morning. It ran right up I-45. I went through the eye around Centerville.

Aww, lighten up. Bill doesn't mean anything by it. We could use a little more humor around here.

I lived through so many hurricanes in Houston, I can’t remember which was which. Lucky to never have any real damage other than losing a number of those rooftop whirlybird. Was there a hurricane in 1984? I think that’s when I bought the first generator.

I’ll never forget the moaning sound that 100 mph wind made as it went past the house.

And we volunteered during Harvey

We lived in New Orleans for 7 years, and dodged any hurricanes. We sold the house and moved to Houston in March of 1976 and our old house in NO didn’t survive the summer, getting flooded. And then Katrina erased it completely. Glad I missed all of that.

We lost a lot of trees in Baytown, and the carport.

We were on strike with the phone company. Hurricane Alicia ended the strike abruptly at 21 days. Remember it well

I too remember it well. Two weeks without power. I remember dad cooking dinner for us out on a little Hibachi grill and he had a 25 lb Amber Jack in the freezer he was saving up to have mounted. Obviously he lost the fish.

Y'all be safe.

I was a little shy of 4 years old, but still remember. My father threw together some 3/4 inch plywood and sawhorses in case a tree came threw the house.

I was having a good time thinking he was building me a playhouse

I remember it, followed hurricane Allen from a year or two earlier. Was a young teen down in Corpus at the time...Thankfully more tropical depressions and/or storms than full fledged hurricanes down that way in my 20 years of living there.

The current forecast is for a 60% chance of a tropical depression, not a hurricane.

So what would the percentage ratio have to be for you to bring it?

Only the MSM can turn a summer thunderstorm into a global warming disaster.

Well if it's going to do it, get it done. We are going to San Luis Pass for 4 days at the end of the month.
