Took my two granddaughters to see it last night, had a wonderful time. Some great ranching history in this area. Big thanks to a good friend for the tickets, he was preforming in it. It's the oldest outdoor play in Texas, this was the 81st year. The residents of Albany and Shackleford county should be very proud.

They put in on the last 2 weekends each June, on Friday and Saturday night. Usually starts about 8:30 and over about 10:30pm.
Got to see our very own "huntwest" in a Scottish kilt last night.

Ive been several times and really love it. It can certainly be warm being outside but baseballs games are hot too and it doesn't keep me from going. Got come great places to eat in town also. Wonderful example of community togetherness to put it together.

I'd love to see it. The late Wat Matthews of the lambshead ranch used to help with livestock for the fandangle. On a side note, Albany is one of the nicest small towns I've seen. I could easily live there.

I could easily live there. When I was growing up my family were frequent guests of Watt's at Reynold's Bend, which was a part of Lambshead. Many of the vehicles used in the Fandangle were stored at Reynold's Bend. It was pretty cool playing on the buckboards but everyone stayed away from the hearse. lol

I hunted on the Lambshead 6 years. They use to have a Fandangle Rehershal at the Ranch that we could watch. Watt was still alive.

Mr. Matthew's was also responsible for a lot of deer stocking in the Rolling plains. Most of the broodstock around the clear fork came from the Lambshead.

About what year would that of been? What areas were stocked and to what extent was the stocking? I may have to start a new thread about this. I talked to an old timer just a ways north of Albany that said they haven't always had deer there and I cant remember how long ago but maybe 30ish years.
