I have a Mud Buddy Quick Flip boat blind to keep the kids high and dry. While I was looking at options for some natural bind material to attach to the blind canvas I ran across Cabela's Marsh Grass. It arguably isn't the best stuff around, but I'm not attaching to a blind frame and relying on it for all my cover. I just want to add some vegetation to my blind canvas to break up the boat's lines, especially under the bow and around the motor. Now here is the weird part. When I first looked at it by going to Cabela's home page and drilling down through the hunting section nothing was on sale. But, if you do a Google search you can find this Direct Link where the 8 pack of 4X4 pieces are marked down from $95 to $49. You can also drill down from the Cabela's Northern Flight™ Boat Blind and Accessories link and get the same sale price. It's on back order, but heck you don't need it for a while anyway. Seemed like a good deal to pass along - $72 with tax and shipping. At that price if I don't like it I'll make a Tiki bar for the back yard!

Larry,
That stuff is handy whether you are using it on a boat or not.
I personally don't hunt out of the boat, but I do use that marsh grass sometimes.
As most of you guys know, unless you are hiding right up against a big tree, you will be seen.
A lot of times, big trees are not available so you have to round up some brush, limbs, etc. and pile it up thick so the birds can't see thru it. That marsh grass works great in this application, it will really thicken up your brush blind.

I've used some similar stuff for a couple years now and it is holding up great.

I read in the reviews by a few guys that have bought the Cab March Grass several times that this year's stuff didn't seem as sturdy or dense as it used to be. We'll see...

Looks like Fast Grass to me. I have it on my boat blind. Works well but keep it out of the elements when not in use. It will rot!!!!! Also you can take some rattle cans and paint it for even more realism!

The stuff I have we left on our blind all season and it's still in really good shape.

Hey John,
My order shipped yesterday. So much for being back ordered.
The shipping weight for 8 sheets is 17.80 Lbs, so their dry weight should be just over 2 Lbs each.
