Damn I feel pretty lucky for drawing then.

Because EVERY tv shows makes it seem like there is a 150” deer behind every tree...which is not the case. Not even close.

Numbers on my farm are excellent and while there are not 150's behind every tree, it is a fantastic place to hunt. I am in Unit 12 - Montgomery County. My problem now is the flooding.... need the rain to stop.

Did not draw last year, and the big deer I was after in 2017 got arrowed. Scored 186". I really think if it hadn't flooded the deer would have lived on the property I hunt. Oh well, such is life. Drew a tag this year, but hoping the flooding stops. Got some great young deer on camera last year I'm excited to see as 4 and 5 year olds this year.

I didn't draw this year either. Got the email Saturday morning showing unsuccessful, really bummed. Called first thing Monday morning to ask about leftover tags and was told same thing, there are none this year and it was "unprecedented". Out of our 6 members, 2 of us didn't draw. My dad did draw a tag though for the first time so I'm looking forward to hunting with him and trying to put him on a nice buck. Looks like I'll be the cameraman this year! bang

My buck from 2018. Taken off my 84 acre farm. Did not take one last year. Was hunting one particular buck that just could not get close enough. Montgomery county [Linked Image]
