Question..... my place is small, 45 acres, and I have 2 feeders on the place. I undestand you can't hunt over bait, so I want to make sure I'm legal.... so the question is...... how far away do I need to be from a feeder to comply with the regulations? Like I said, my place is small, so I want to make sure I'm not close to the feeders.... I have looked all over the answer, but I just can't find anything.

I was under the impression that in Texas you could hunt over feeders. Now I would never hutn turkeys that way becasue what I enjoy is calling them in and killing them. If I want to deer hunt I will deer hunt.

Over bait is legal except for eastern counties

I'm in one of those eastern counties. That's why I asked. I dunno. I guess I can call the warden and ask him.

Turn off feeders and give it a couple of days.Set up between the feeders. I'll almost bet they've worn a path between them.

Special Regulations for Eastern Spring Season
In certain East Texas Counties
Shotgun, archery and crossbows are the only lawful means; no hunting over bait; all turkeys harvested in these counties must be reported within 24 hours to the department via mobile application or online.
I take that to mean you have to be hunting directly over a baited area to be illegal. Anywhere else is fine.
