That Chevy was in park when they winched it out. IDK ramp looks to be in good shape.

Open it up in YouTube, they said the ramp was slimy. I bet he started spinning and started sliding backwards. Locked the brakes up, and it didn't help.

That's probably why the guy said 4 wheel drive would of prevented it.

I fished Millwood lake near Ashdown, Ark for many years and saw numerous situations like this over the years. Some with old dilapidated trucks that the owner had a flat bottom boat in the bed and backed down till the boat would float out and sometimes further even getting his rear-end wet and I don't mean the trucks differential. Sometimes it was high dollar boats and trucks with the wife doing the backing for the first time and then panicking. Saw one where the wife got panicked and bailed out with truck in reverse, she got wet completely and the truck went under to the top of cab roof.

I learned to launch boats on the old public ramp at Lake Alvarado.. talk about incline! 77 Chevy pickup had a heck of a time pulling the old Power Cat out. My uncle lived down the road and every summer there would be 5-6 trucks getting pulled back up the ramp. roflmao

About fifteen years ago I went to Texoma with my cousin and our local Game Warden to Striper fish. We arrived before sunrise at the marina.

The guy front of us was by himself. He backed an inboard/outboard boat down the ramp---and launched the boat with it idling in reverse. The empty boat was out there circling around and around in reverse--in the dark.

This guy bales off in the water to swim out to this "meat grinder" running around in reverse. The Game Warden with us was about to strip down to his drawers and I guess swim out there an knock this guy out. But the guy managed to get hold of the side of this boat and get in. Once in he drove on out.

All speculation, but we figured he tried to launch it and when it wouldn't come off the trailer he forgot to put it in neutral before backing the truck a little further down.

What is the lettering on the drivers door? It looks like Z85 or Z92 or something but is too out of focus for me to tell, got me to thinking it may have been 4 wheel drive but I am not sure.
Sucks either way.

That makes more sense.

A guy in Ojai Ca, had one of those, there were very few made, ( for good reason ), you can actually go back and forth from the boat to the van when on the road, so long its crazy.

If it was a Toyota, it would probably start right up and you could drive it away.
