Google Lorenzo Castaneda watercolors. We have several of his paintings. He does an excellent job on western and San Antonio themes. Years back he had a booth at Market Square in San Antonio on weekends, his daughter has stepped in and has something on Facebook I think.

Have yall seen Rod Chase's work? It is amazing. Have to see it in person to see all the detail. This pic doesn't do it justice.

So I was looking at some local artist, and I found a Aggie that's now a professor at Texas State...... and he painted this. Its oil on canvas. I had to get it. I'm sure there is something aggie hidden in it... BEVO Sundown by Bob Pankey.

If in, or around San Antonio. I found a pretty cool place that promotes only local San Antonio Artist. Apparently if you buy something from them, the artist will actually deliver it to you. They have some pretty nice pieces. San Antonio artist

Great paintings. I think most came looking for my wife. She roomed with an artist before we married. They went to starving artist shows. I'm not sure where she got all of her paintings. All of my walls are covered. Here's one small onte that she hung in my office.

You should have made it to the Houston Livestock Show art auction. The Grand champion piece went for only $240K.

My wife does a lot of ours and gets the majority of it at Hobby Lobby, or "hob lob" as she calls it. I built some, what I guess is wall art, for my oldest boys room. It was a bunch of old reclaimed barn wood and I used some old rusty wire to hold up my great grandfathers old pump 12 gauge, my grandfather's old wooden crossbow bolts, and my boy's initials on it. It was pretty amateur but I thought it turned out pretty sweet.

We picked up some inexpensive things to take out to the new ranch house(sorry they are shrink wrapped). Also found my grandads old branding irons to use some place.

I've been hitting local galleries and I found one I really like if anyone is interested. NanEtte Richardson Fine Art Galleries is one that has the art I really like. Nanette Richardson fine art GalleriesI'm hoping to make it up to Boerne next week to visit Texas fine art gallery up there. They seem to have the style of art we like. Texas Treasures fine art BoerneI found what one could call a garage sale find on etsy of all places...... I bought it for $375 could be worth 2k or more. It is by a fairly well known local artist who now lives in Boerne. I took into the frame shop to get it rematted, and new glass, the lady there knew who it was by right away. She couldn't believe how much I bought it for, or where we found it.

Grand kids Lol, maybe I can commission them.... Got my art find back from the frame shop today. The artist is Eunice Hundley. She does a lot of native American art from central America, Mexico, and the U.S. This piece is a pastel from 1975.

Went to my first art auction today. It was fun even though we went 1 for 7, and missed out on my favorite one by Helen Hunter. We'll definitely will be doing it again. It was a lot of fun even though we were the youngest ones in the place.

Bought another piece. I’m not a huge fan of them on wrapped canvas, I prefer frames. But this piece was too nice to pass up. Artist took the picture, downloaded it to his computer, digitally enchanted it, printed it on the canvas and then added gloss highlights. It POPS! It’s like the photo changes as you walk by it.
