to me (and I have a Trijicon MRO) "the best" is the Aimpoint Micro 5 years on one battery running full time.. I lost one years ago at our lease and found it months later with a metal detector buried under the mud.. still on, washed it off under running water and still using it..

I decided to try out a holosun a couple years ago and love it. It has been beat around and has never lost zero. It has auto on when the gun is moved and battery will last over 5 years. Cost is about 200 dollars. If I was using it for daily combat, I might move up to a trijicon, or aimpoint but for my purposes the holosun is awesome.

I can also add you use it.
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

Aimpoint is the “ best” PRO, M5, or T2 pick your weight and price and maybe mount
Trijicon is ok and cheaper but not an Aimpoint
Holosun has some cleaner dots than the cheaper guys but then they also make a lot for the cheaper guys
You have to look at them to see what your eye likes dot wise

Never owned a crossbow but I've heard they are tough on optics that aren't designed to manage the way a crossbow recoils. If this is actually true then I wouldn't put a $350-500 red dot on a crossbow.
I'd be more inclined to try something from Vortex with a no questions asked warranty... so if your crossbox does break it you can get a new one and sell to buy the proper scope/red dot.

I have 3 Holosuns and one Primary Arms built by Holosun and I'm impressed with all of them. Good, clear glass with a 2MOA dot surrounded by the 65MOA horseshoe similar to EoTech. The shake awake technology is excellent. A good value, all have been solid.

Absolutely love my AimPoint PRO. For what I use it for, patrol work, it’s the best money can buy. I change the battery every year because it very important to me. It rides around in the trunk of a squad car or shoved between the seat and door. It gets bumped and bruised from my boots and has never had an issue. It’s going on 5 years strong right now.

I have the Aimpoint CompM4. 8 years of battery life & perfect co-witness. It's the gun I grab when I go looking for hogs or checking fence line, it's been bounced around in the gun rack on the four wheeler and in the the truck & UTV, never had a problem with anything.

I have had both aim point and trijicon MRO. Stuck with the MRO over the aim point. My main reason for this is that the MRO disappears when I have both eyes open but the aim point always blocked a little bit of my vision. Kinda like looking through a coke can or something.
Both are good. But even if they cost the same, I'd go with the MRO all day.
