Add person holding the rifle movement, the animals movement, wind moving the grass, etc... and then the fact that the scope/camera lags behind just a little from real time and for me I could not ethically make shots in the dark. The still shots looks great and clear and day time was not a problem and kind of fun to shoot.

Yes it has a few problems like every other product ever made. I do like mine though. I have had mine for just over a year now and it has done well for me.

It is on my 300 Blackout and it is a lot of fun. 500yds with the ballistic calculator and sonic ammo is easy. 500 yards with a 300 BLK, quite the arch, no?

Yep it is dropping and you can sometimes see the bullet’s butt in flight.
Sonic ammo is going around 2,100fps so it is a far cry from the sub-sonic arc.

Companies that treat customers the way they do should be nuked.
Photon is the choice in this price category.

Companies that treat customers the way they do should be nuked. I think this is the key issue. When you purchase products from awful companies, you enable their dysfunction. As they said in the movie War Games, "The only way to win is not to play."

Oh, it’s very easy to shoot 500 yards at night. It’s just very difficult to hit your intended target at that distance.

I bought mine used for shooting pigs after dark and ended up trading it off, it was heavy and just did not work for me. With top of the line IR light I could not clearly make out targets at 60 yards. It is certainly heavy... though I was able to see targets out to 100 yards with a mid-range IR (Streamlight Super TAC) using the X-Sight 2 HD. The key is to position the IR in the right spot. Mounting it on the X-Sight caused the image to be washed out. I ended up mounting mine under the barrel of an AR. Not trying to defend ATN, but I always thought the performance was acceptable for the price point. I've heard of many horror stories about customer service and quality. Fortunately, mine didn't have any issues so I never had to contact their customer service. This feeder is at 110 yards. I could tell the difference between deer and hogs at that distance. I had the 5-20 model. Thanks for the input JonPace. There has been a lot of quality comments on this thread. The customer service stuff is really worrisome.

You are too kind. My wife says there's a reason why I shouldn't own a Twitter account.

What the heck does that mean? LOL If this was an old western movie and you asked what you asked in the town saloon, all the voices would go quiet, heads would turn, and the barkeep would tell you, "Mister, we don't want no trouble 'round here."

Recently got a gym membership, strange folks! I like to show up the roid zombies with my full motion curls with the 55lb. bells. Not their cheater short stroked light weights. It's holarious.
