I just got this rifle, could only find the cheap wolf ammo. But it will fire first round, but won't eject bullet. It stays in barrel and I have to get a cleaning rod to bump it out. Then it looks like the rim of it is a little bent. Is is the gun or is that just what happens when shooting wolf ammo!!! I've shotten 1000's of rounds of wolf ammo from a colt 6920 with no jams!!

Did you buy it used?
If so there may be umpteen rounds of Wolf already through it. The stuff shoots dirty enough that it can foul your chamber enough to not let the rounds extract. It has happened to me before with ARs.
About 4 years ago Fort Wolters had a Veterans Day fun match so I took my NM M1A. All I had was some Wolf .308. After about 50 rounds it was doing the same thing.

Yes, clean thoroughly and try this. It will narrow down the problem.
God is so good to me.

Well the 6920 isn't mine to be swapping parts from. But the rock river was brand new, just pulled it out of the box. Shot 100 rounds no problem and then bam jam, i extracted round and bam jam again. Thats all I messed with it since.

Id say ammo gunking things up. do you have any other ammo. try shooting something else before you clean it. Its getting stuck in the chamber right? can you tell if the extractor is getting a good grip on the brass?

I would give the barrel and chamber a good cleaning with clp. Next I would remove the bolt from the carrier and remove all traces of the shipping oil and relube with clp. Your new Rock River should shoot Wolf without a problem.

I dont like running steel case ammo in anything but the AK. Also some of the ammo is lacquer coated and I stuck one in my mini 14 and had a devil of a time getting it out. The heat softens the coating and sticks the casings. Good luck!

I pretty much stick to 5.56 NATO in my AR rifles. I do have an old beat up home built frankengun that I shoot steel case ammo through exclusively. It runs good on Wolf and Barnaul. My Sabre Defence and Colts get brass only.
