So, i have been very interested ever since hearing about it in this new product that Lyssy and Echol is offering that is called Blast. It is a pellet fee that is peanut butter flavored that is supposed to fit through any style of feeder. What i am curious about is if anyone has tried it and what has been their thoughts on it. Also, about how long if you did try it did it take for the deer to get used to it? Looking into it as an idea for offseason feeding.

I have not but a friend tried it last year in his spin feeders on his ranch. Said it was taking to long for the deer to get on it and it was very expensive last year compared to corn. So he is back to corn only in his spin feeders. He does feed free choice protein year round also.

I think it would work better in areas where peanuts are grown. I know they will eat peanut butter, because years ago we would buy the empty peanut butter barrels from a local cooking baking operation, clean the rest of the peanut butter out of the barrels and make a trash sack full of peanut butter sandwiches using day old bread. Funny as hell to watch a deer eating a PB sandwich and trying to get the peanut butter out of the roof of it's mouth.
