Cappy & Remi finally got to meet their just-adopted and new friend Emma Monday. Dave and Patti Benton (LadyLabtrainer) came up from Flower Mound to spend the day with us and brought Ria and Emma with (of course).

Here's sweet little Emma (Ms. Em) with her new forever daddy, Dave.

After that and so they didn't overheat (it was already in the upper 70s) it was a quick wash off and out in the run to play before lunch. I brought some Kong bones out an dumped them into the wading pool to see how long it would be before Em figured out how to get them ...



Didn't take long ...









Then it was time to dry off, come in the house to play tug-of-war with Remi's stuffed animals, have a treat (or 2 or 3, etc) and then take a nap ... They did each very well ...











"Sweet Emma" is one of the sweetest little Labs I've ever met. She's only been at her forever home for 2 weeks now and you'd think she was born and raised there. She and Ria are great friends already and within the first half hour here, Cappy and Remi are in love with her too.

And by the way, she's among the very few Labs I've met who can match Remi for all out speed and enthusiasm for fetching. At 2-1/2 she's going to become quite a duck dawg and maybe even an accomplished Hunt Test competitor.

Emma is a nice dog. She will make Dave and Patty a nice hunt test dog. It appears that her hip is doing much better now.

Looks like ya'll had an awesome time, and great looking group of labs.

Just like JJ said; that is a whole lot of yeller! Makes me miss my yeller dawg even more!
Glade to see Fish was able to find a good home for Emma! Dave is a solid dog trainer and Patti ain;t to bad either!

On the last photo the one on the far left looks a lot like our Miley. Great photos!!!! I've never worked more than one dog at a time, having that many on the water would be interesting I bet.

Emma is doing great. Dave and I are working on getting the weight off of Emma. She's not much of an eater, but I've discovered she loves her Exclusive with yogurt. Emma does like her creature comforts and discovered dog beds are nice at night.
