Looking for the good and the bad on this feeder I’ve read reviews about it being a pita to assemble but good reviews other than that. Anyone else using em?

I don’t have the 600 pound one, but do have 2 of the 300 pound ones. Dollar for dollar, they are the best option out there. They are a pain to put together, but it gets easier each time. The feeder has an impenetrable varmint cage, the timer/battery compartment is nice, and the pre-planned placement for the solar panel is nice. The only “complaint” I have is that you really need to go over the whole feeder and caulk every bolt/seam on the thing. Of the two I have, one had crappier weld quality on the lid than the other. After caulking them both, they are very good feeders now. No coon or squirrel can get in them. One final thing- make sure you get the spinner plate properly spaced. Once the varmint cage is on, it’s impossible to adjust without take no it completely off.

I have one of the older 300# round style that the cube replaced. Been in the field for at least 3 yrs. and seems to be a great feeder, for the money. I just wish they were 12v because I have to turn up the feed time to get it drop a decent amount of corn.

I put together the 600lb one a couple months ago with no problem by myself. just like above, it works great. Make sure to get the feeder plate spacing right before putting on cage. My only negative is that a lot of the corn goes straight down, which isn't a problem for me since we mainly use feeders for hog hunting.

Is there enough room in compartment and motor area to upgrade to a 12v motor and battery?

Bucee's in Denton had 3 left at $399, I bought one, so only two now. I looked at the Game Winner and decided to go 12v over 6v.

Make sure you secure the lid while traveling with something other than the supplied springs. The lid will come off at highway speeds
