I'm thinkin about makin and marketing a big game lift for atv's to make deer and hog huntin a little easier for the elderly and the "not so strong in the back anymore" hunters. It would be made of steel with either a hand crank or winch with pulley system to load dead game onto atv's. What do ya'll think? is there a market out there for such a thing? I know there are some out there already, but with the ones i've seen, there's room for improvement. Tell me what you think and be honest. i'm a big boy.

thanks,
beetle bailey

The only way to know for sure is to build a couple and let folks try them out. The market for new equipment in the hunting field is very strange, and I don't know if anyone could accurately forecast what will or won't sell. JMO and Good Luck, hope it works out for you.

i plan on making a few and see what happens. if nothing else but to use for myself. i was in ark last year huntin, shot an average size 6 point, went and got my 4 wheeler and proceeded to try and load him up. after a lot of gruntin and pushing and cussin i finally got him loaded. i'm not a huge man, but l am in good shape and it made me have to rest a few minutes. everyone else was still huntin and i wanted to get him back to camp. need something else this year when i take that big 12pt.

Sounds like a good idea! Won't work for me though, thats why I got grown sons, to do all that lifting and grunting.

With hunters that have no one to help them, would be great. Good Luck with your idea.

I've seen on TV something you are talking about already. You might check into it.

We built one on a trailer(small for 4 wheeler), with a boat winch and a swing out frame, much like someone would deliver a propane tank or something like that. It uses two straps of conveyor belt, roll the animal onto them, hook to a hook, crank it up, swing it over the side of the trailer. Only major problem we had was learning to use it as close as possible to the trailer, big hogs seem to tip it over, if they weight close to the weight of the trailer!

It is known as the "Game Recovery Trailer" or Gert for short.

What TV show or add was that?? I've never see none advertised on TV and had a real hard time finding one on the internet thru google search. Sorry for the late reply, been out of town. Also, I appreciate everyone's input.

Sorry but this has already been developed. Type 'game lift' in google and this is the first link:

I have seen this advertised on TV during Ted's show.
