Thinking about selling one of ARs in 300 BLK out. I know values have gone way down..this gun has complete Advance Armament upper with Spikes lower, Burris 3-9x40. I know the AAC uppers were high dollar couple years ago.so trying to determine a fair used value has me stumped. Thanks in advance.

They are so hard to get a decent value for right now I'd keep it if at all possible

I'm seeing new, lower end AR's at gun shops for $399 and still not moving

Coworker of mine bought an AR in 300BO last week from grabagun for $475. Put a Bushnell AR223 scope,on it for $160 or so. Less than $700 and he's ready to go.

I bought a 300BO upper a few years ago from CBC Industries a few years ago for $260 then last weeek bought a lower, BCG & handle from them for $210.

Mine shoots ~1moa with a 7x Nikon scope.

All that said, I don't understand why people pay $1500+ for similar guns.

With the market the way it is I doubt you would see anything over 700

Lower probably fetch 200-250
Upper is tricky as I’ve seen them new under 500 on sale lately didn’t even consider buying it st that price. AAC is typically a littler higher end but market sucks. I’d hold on to it and wait. Unless you need to sell it, you are better off waiting til things go back up in demand.

People buying ar’s right now either are wanting a super cheap one or very high end.

going to second or third whats already been said.

now is the time for buying, not selling

ammo is following along with that trend, shelves are full.
all that being said, with the scope, figure low end being about 400, higher end being 600. maybe more if you get some one that is either living under a rock, or just not paying attention to what is going on
and oddly enough those folks can be found
look at some of the ammo that is being sold now. funny how some are in lots of 3

good luck if you decide to sell

I guess the people who have responded so far don’t know that AAC uppers sell for $800 - $1000 new. Quoting $400 - $700 for the AAC upper, Spikes lower, and scope is just crazy.

Yes, the market is soft, but that doesn’t mean every AR regardless of brand/specs is now worth $400. Just because you can get a cheap, barebones AR for $400 doesn’t mean that price applies to all ARs. That’s like telling someone trying to sell a Lamborghini that they should expect to get $10,000 because you can get a new Kia for that price.

You would need to post a lot more info on the gun and scope to get educated responses on value. For a better estimate, post the specs of the upper, specs of lower, and the model/product line of the scope. Knowing how used it is would also help (round count, condition, etc.).

What makes an AAC upper so special? I've shot multiple 1" groups with my no name blackout upper. Even shot it at distance and hit 500 yards pretty reliably (2moa target) and got some hits at 600 & 700.

That's what has me confused. I know the AAC uppers were going for a lot. So I don't want to give it away. The gun has the factory AAC upper with knights rail. The lower is nothing special..Spikes lower, milspec trigger, magpul stock and grip. Low round count. Scope is a Burris Fulfilled 3-9x40

The Knights Armament 3.1 urx rail is worth $200-225 used alone.

Part of the problem is fashion... try selling a 10" Keymod handguaard... AR fashion is constantly changing, quad rails are passe, Keymods are weak, anything less than 15" in a hand guard is last year's fashion. laugh

Let’s start with what everything would cost new today:

- AAC complete upper: $950 new (Very tough to even find in stock)
https://www.midwayusa.com/product/913093...ckout-16-barrel

- Spikes forged lower with mil-spec LPK, Magoul MOE grip and stock: $225 new (more if it is a different Magpul stock, I’m assuming it’s just an MOE).
https://www.esadarms.com/product-p/crl.st.mag.pun-.htm

- Burris Fulfilled II 3-9x40 scope: $175 new
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000MM2QSK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_EOwTBbHA3BSK4

Total value when new: $1350

Now, how much is it worth used? I am by no means an expert in valuing used firearms, but I’m thinking $800-$900 for the gun and $100 for the scope. I would sell the gun and scope separately since everyone has their own personal taste in optics.

As far as why AAC uppers are expensive...AAC complete uppers are very hard to find in stock, and considered by most to be one of the best 300 BLK uppers you can buy. When they come up in stock, they tend to sell out quickly. They come ready to rock with no upgrades needed, include a very nice Knight’s forearm, and have a great reputation for accuracy and reliability. Most importantly, IMO, they come with an appropriately sized gas port so you can run subs and supers suppressed or unsuppressed without any cycling issues from the gun being over or under gassed. This is not the case for many, perhaps most, 300 BLK uppers on the market. With many 300 BLK uppers you have to buy an adjustable gas block or drill out the gas port to get them to reliably cycle. On top of all that, AAC developed the 300 BLK round, so they are the originators. It’s like buying a colt 1911. They cost more and hold more value because they are the original.

900. 100-200 more without a milspec trigger. Give the details and informed consumers will be buyers.
