In the market for one. Lots of reviews and the prices are all over the place.
QD is good but not a deal breaker. It would rotate between a 6.8, x39, and x51.
Anyone have a recommendation?
For guys that make that swap, is the .0.82mm "gap" a big deal?
Thanks.

.30 cal is fine on 6.8, I run one on my .223.
I like my thunderbeast ultra 7. It’s not full auto rated for semi auto mag dumps but is a lightweight, precision oriented can
Take a look at the Sico omega

Lighter is better and go with direct thread. You don't want a long, heavy suppressor. Been there, done that...it never gets used anymore except when I take a friend.

I run three 30 cal cans on everything from 223 - 300 WM. Two Thunder Beast 30P-1's and a Mack Brothers Varminter 3.0,all are Titanium & direct thread. The TB cans are great, but I like the Mack Brothers more. It's a few ounces lighter and a little quieter.

Good suggestions everyone. Thanks. Yankee Hill Machine 7.62 Phantom LT. Price is good. I'll look for one. I'd prefer to stick to one QD. 5.56 is 1/2-28 (if I every used it one one of those rifles) 6.8 SPC is 1/2-36 x39 and x51 are 5/8-24

I run a SilencerCo 7.62 Specwar-they replaced it with the Saker last year. I have used it extensively with a 6.8 and have been very pleased. It has a muzzle-break QD 5/8*24 mount; recoil is essentially non-existent.

I have the Omega w/QD on my 6.8, it's very light and pretty quiet. It's my go-to short range rig (under 200-250). The YHM is 50% heavier, that's a lot of weight out on the end if you aren't running an SBR.

I'm with Flip. Love my YHM can. I have other cans but always go back to my old tried and true Phantom 30 and its the old SS version that weighs 32oz LOL. Just works and is really quiet compared to some of the more expensive suppressors I've been beside while shooting. I have the Omega w/QD on my 6.8, it's very light and pretty quiet. It's my go-to short range rig (under 200-250). The YHM is 50% heavier, that's a lot of weight out on the end if you aren't running an SBR. He could also get the new YHM Resonator 30 which is same length, diameter, only 2oz heavier, and has better suppression level than the Omega for half the cost.

I would go with something 7" or shorter. Shorter is worth more than you think. I have a 9" .30 can that I bought at the same time as 6" 6.5mm can, and when I bought them I was convinced that the 9" can would be my favorite.
Long story short, I hardly use it for anything, and I'm about to buy a second 5-6" can. Noise is hardly any different and it's so much handier. I shoot it on my Valkyrie when hog hunting with no ears on and it's comfortable. I have pretty sensitive ears, too.
ThunderBeast Ultra 5 or 7; Crux; SAS; I've heard good things about the Rex Silentium cans. All of those offer short cans with light weight.

YHM Phantom 30 Cal ti QD here. If you stalk/walk any distance with your gun go with the titanium. I run mine on a 6.8 SPC 12.5" SBR.
