Best cycling shells i’ve found for my 391 Extrema, it’s very picky about light weight dove/target loads.

Friend of mine was using them in his Benelli Super Sport yesterday and didn’t have any issues.

Co worker shot them through his 870 this weekend and said they suck. Lots of birds that loose feathers and just keep going is what he said. Ive never tried them and likely never will.

I ran 2 boxes of 12 gauge, 2-3/4", 1 oz, #8 through my 45 year old Beretta A-300 Saturday without a hitch. My son's 870 pump jammed a few times but I don't think it was due to the Monarch shells.

I have shot them through both an A-5 and a 390 with no issues. FWIW neither is finicky with ammo either.

I shot them this weekend with no jams. One thing that was odd was all the boxes were marked the same but 2 boxes were high brass and 2 were low brass. Also found loose powder in at least 2 boxes.

A friend bought some for his new a5 he just got. They would not cycle at all in his gun. My a5 that i have had a few years now cycled them with no problem. I think his problem is he did not break in his gun like it tells you to in the manual. Also not sure if he cleaned it and oiled it properly. The Remington loads i brought for myself worked in his gun great so we just switched ammo.
If the trigger is gold, the birds will fold.

I found that the brass on monarch shells do not like to be extracted. It may not be brass at all for all I know. Aguila has been okay.
