Academy in McKinney had 8 boxes of the Remington/UMC megapacks in .45ACP $97.99 each. I bought one, so hopefully someone else here can get some as well.

Bass Pro in Grapevine seemed to be pretty well stocked on Sunday. Didn't see any .38 or 357 though. I was able to get a couple boxes of primers.

Academy 6pm Memorial Day Tollway in Plano. .45, 9mm, and 357mag, quite a few boxes of each.

Wileys Gun Shop in Wills Point has and will probably continue to have all kinds and calibers.

Saw several different calibers this weekend at Ammo Depot in caddo mills. Only thing is they have a two box max on each caliber.

Can someone help me understand why there is no ammo on the shelves.
I just don't believe that it gets bought up that fast. I don't think retailers are buying as much as they should to keep the supply going. People have been buying ammo for years so why a shortage now when the prices are so high.
I could understand if the prices were low and there was a shortage cause people bought it at a good deal but when prices are high I just don't get it.
Here's why, I for one have not bought any over the counter ammo in over 10 years. Well excluding 22 rimfire.
Are there just that many more ons that have never had to buy ammo cause they all of a sudden decided to buy a gun for the first time in their life????

saw some 50 round boxed of 223 at walmart today (1604&Culebra) for 24.99. The majority was 40 gr HP. Didn;t may much more attention to it than that, was in a white box w/ red lettering.

Hickory Creek walmart has 2 100 round boxes of 45 auto for 29.97 in the back of the shelf. You have to get down on the floor to see them, but a good deal at $150 per 50.

Arlington Academy had 250 rounds of UMC for 59.99....Guess thats a good price.

Academy in mesquite had.223 yesterday. Monarch, Remington Hornady and Federal. They also had 9mm and some .357.
