Just wondering who charges what for FFL transfers from online sales.
I have a guy that charges $25 in Arlington and I know Bills guns next to Alpine charges $20. Alpine charges $50, Arlington Arms told me $40 since I know them HA.
Someone told me of a place in Rockwall that will do it for $10 but thats a long way for me.
Anyone????

For routine transfers for individual's personal guns we generally don't charge. For people doing multiple guns and turning a profit, we get $20 now.

That's good to know... I usually try to stay away from guns that aren't local due to transfer fees... Now I might consider some of them... I have gotten quotes as high as $35 (plus actual shipping costs) from some shops to do transfers

I pay $20. There are some unscrupulous, prick dealers that charge $50 and some charge a percentage of the cost of the gun's sale price.

I just like to get people into the store.... knowing that they are definite gun people, it's great targeted advertising. I would like for people to give me a chance at new stuff first, but that's not required. Right now inventory is so weird sometimes it's just where you find it and what's available.

I know some that try to make it cost prohibitive, but in this day and age those guys are just going somewhere else, and you are losing a customer. Hopefully, if they come to pick up a transfer they'll buy something.

Also love the guy on here that brings me smoked sausage or the ones that bring coors light too, I'll deal with anything that doesn't require being fed...

Vernon, you have an enlighten attitude.
Wish you were local to me, I'd trade with you.

For you guys in North Tarrant County, Bill at TMS Guns is a nice guy doing FFL transfers as a sideline at home.
He does transfers for CHLs for $10. I think the non-CHL rate is $20, but I'm not sure on that. He also will prep a handgun for USPS mailing for $20.
Google TMS haslet for contact info. He works well with email.
